    vr4 electrical probs

    hi got an r plate vr4 legmum never had any probs but three days ago it started blowing ignition fuses.tried ever thing i can took all extras off car turbo timer took stereo out every time i replace fuse turn ignition it blows fuse at 5 pound each getting expensive.any help appreciated

    Sounds like a short somewhere.

    As it's now doing it all the time (i.e. not intermittent), it would probably be easier and quicker to get an auto electrician to investigate.

    Check the engine loom for rubbing on the brackets that hold it in position. Some are metal and due to the age of our cars we will see this problem more often

    ta for replys hi nev its arcstrike under new name think it s grinding dust in fuse box fan relay shorting out causing ignition fuse to blow 6 hours half engine strip wire chasin fun but think i have sussed it .had to do weld repair couple of month ago bit to much thrash split suspension mount think grindin dust got into contacts ,so simple so much pain but cheers chaps

    ignition fuse

    hi john long time hi all thought i had it sussed sadly not gettin very emotional it works then it dont checked loom no obvious signs of wear startin to get very costly please help !

    Can't think of anything else than what's been said already, and intermittent faults are the worst to trace.
