    its alive

do to my wife running out of petrol last week my fuel pump got mullered , have replaced it this weekend .

when i replaced my ecu for a remapped one last rr day my car didnt like it and the fueling couldnt cope idicating that the fuel pump was weak in the first place.

now since i replaced the fuel pump at the weekend the car seems a hell of a lot quicker ,even the misses has said so. is it possible that replacing the fuel pump can increase power, if the old one faulty?

it really has come alive ,feels like i have found my missing bhp .

or am i being a chump?

If the old one wasn't capable of supplying the car properly, then yes it would run leaner which would create knock which in turn would cause the ECU to retard timing.
