    Storing the VR-4

    lo guys

ok...........im considering taking the vr-4 off the road for the winter.

basically with my work i do from now until end feb start of march i will be working flat out.

i dont use her as a daily car, so because ill either be working or sleeping the possibility of her being used is slim.

so im thinking of putting her away in garage for the months following.

she has her MOT thursday so any problems ill get sorted.

my question is......... if i do store her......what should i do in regards to draining fluids etc etc? ive taken my bike off road and i have drain engine oil and coolant to prevent the coolant corroding anything and getting into main bearings (i done this on my old bike.......it wasnt pretty). but bikes aint built like cars.

can i leave all fluids in car? or drain and put fresh in when i get her out to play again?

    all comments welcome

    thanks

    Dan

Draining the fluids will course more damage, because the mosture will start causing rust.
I would make sure they are full. Use a good antifreeze coolant for the radiator. I find the green colour coolant works good.

I would only disconnect the battery. And make sure tires at at the pressure with a few extra pounds =)

As above, I'd have thought draining fuids would cause more problems than not.

I'd be tempted to put axle stands under the axles somehow, but I'm not sure where would be best.... My aim would be to get the tyres off the ground but keep the suspension at as normal a height as possible.
