    My Current car

well here it is, it started its life as a standard 306 XSi with a 2.0 8v engine which when i got it on the rollers had 126.2bhp, not bad considering it had 123bhp from the factory i have now changed the engine to a 2.0 16v GTi6 engine which is 161.8bhp the last time i had it on the rollers, and then it was running way too lean, but that is now sorted so hopefully closer to the 170bhp area, so here are some pics of its life with me,

this is how it was when i got it

and heres how the engine conversion went

this was from a recent visit to castle combe on the 11/9/10

heres a vid and some pics of the pug on track

nice build. im guessing it was making that HP because it was lean.. wont be that much if you have added fuel? but a very sweet car, time to get some 15x9" wheels

aye that sticker on the boot is now off got bored of it, haha, also, yea got that power as was too lean, should be around the 167bhp as thats what it comes with from factory, but obviously over the yrs it should have gone down abit, but hopefully once i get it running spot on, its goin back on the rollers glad you like it tho

Well i think its time for a bit of an update. For the past month or so i have been suffering from a stupid idle problem i couldnt find the cause of, changed allsorts to no avail, so thought i would pop on my new bits that i have had for a few weeks, so onto the pics.

    removed inlet

bit of a closeup of all the valves looking fan-dabi-dozie

was abit worried that the valves were bent or something but im happy with the outcome

    the inlet

as you can see, the tard who had the inlet powdercoated didnt take the coating off the face of the inlet so it was all bubbling and not fitting flush, so that is now down to bare metal and flat again.

some insides of the inlet with the coating in them, (hope all is well with that)

and here it is with the bung in place

next on the list now i have done that is to clean the head and fit it all and hope my idling is fine.

should be another update of the outcome of the bung and ptfe gasket if all is well with them

Did you fit the 6 speed box with the engine?

well here are a few more of the pics what i got tonight

clean face of inlet (took me ages)

    gasket in place

    all pretty much back together

well, so far i have sorted the idling problem at long last soo happy about that, and with the removal of resonator i have noticed a slight increase in the induction noise and seems to pull abit better aswell, not sure if it has done anything with the bhp or not im not too sure on but will find out next time its on the rollers
