The story i heard at the time was that Texas Rangers (of which I believe he was supposed to have been) always had a partner. Much as police officers travel in pairs now. ( His partner was killed, and he would not take another partner, and swore to work alone from that time on... hence "the Lone Ranger"
It's a perfectly good question Sy don't panic!
right there are two ways of answering this question the first is to assum that we will terraform mars thus making just like earth and youcan therefore assume that your AYC will act perfectly normally.
the second is that we build geodesic biodomes on mars which are individually environmentally controlled in which case driving inside of a dome will much the same as earth but out side there are a few factors to be considered.
1. there is little or no atmosphere on mars and certainly not enough oxygen for internal combustion engine to work or for you to breath
2. Assumiing you have now sealed your car and found a way to make the engine run (constant NO2 Possibly) there is the subject of gravity mars' mass is much small than earths so gravity would be less around 38% of earths (the moon being around 16.6%) so you would have substantially less grip without a massive weight increase (maybe safer if running constant nos)
edit: oh no wait you have a leggy no weight increase needed!
Are England going to be more competitive in this Ashes series or am I going to be plonking myself down on the couch this afternoon with my beers to watch another rout?
Will we have a white christmas this year? down south in yeovil
i have to say the clouds outside are looking threatening and i have aprked the car at the top of the drive which is fairly steep just in case
Is google getting a lot of use?
Yes apparently Australia have not lost a test match at the Gabba since 1993, the only exception being to a touring South African team. Australian commentators do my head in though (especially the rugby ones). I don't know if they've ever heard of objective commentary...
I mean sure, one can be forgiven for displaying a slight bias (human nature) but man, it's like a partisan chest thumping w@nk fest every time the home team do anything even remotely remarkable.
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
If it were possable to drill a hole from the north pole to the soth pole, and then jump into it, would you fly out the other side feet first.?
As Andy's not here, I'll run with this one!
No.
If your hole/tunnel was in a perfect vacuum, i.e. no air resistance, and you ignored any other gravitational effects (e.g. Sun, Moon) or rotational forces (negligible, but present), the answer would still be no.
However! If the you jumped into the same hole from the South Pole end, you WOULD emerge feet first at the North Pole!
Why? Well, the South Pole is at a higher altitude than the North Pole, and the only force acting upon you would be gravity, thus you would not only come out at the North Pole feet first, you would indeed fly out, and not stop until you reached the same altitude as you jumped in at!
Well, that's wot I reckon, anyway...
