Post Rough idle and stalling when warm

Hi all, starting this thread up more as an "information to others" thread as well as helping resolve our own issues.

    Symptoms
Both mine and Atiks car have the same issue here, after our cars have been warmed up and then stood for a while they're idling rough and sometimes stall.

    Reproducing the issue
I'll get to my car in the morning, she'll start and idle perfectly fine, drive my car for a good 20-30 mins or so, get the car nice and warm etc, then come back home, let the car idle for about 10-15 secs before turning it off.

Then, if I come back to the car again 30 mins later and start her up, she idles very roughly and struggles to stay running, occasionally even stalling. This will continue for a good 30 seconds or until I give the loud pedal a few hard blips, then she's perfectly fine again.

    The problem
Old plugs maybe? Mine are probably donkeys old and Atiks are at least 2 years old

    Resolution
None as of yet, Atiks got a spare set of plugs he's gonna put in soon, and mine is getting a SuperMann(tm) / SuperRichy(tm) service in just over a weeks time.

I'll update this thread as things change, feel free to comment on this issue though

Must point out that for me, I never had this issue with my old enging. It's only with the new engine that I have had this issue. The car has plenty of power and feels quicker than my old engine, but the warm/hot idle is a recurring issue.

    Engine temp sensor sounds reasonable.

That would be my first guess too. Possibly the lambda sensor as well?
An old mini I used to have years ago had a similar problem too, turned out the main engine earth strap wasn't connected to the chassis any more! Might be worth checking as well...as is the TPS settings
