CVR4 web icon for iPhone etc.

this is another bump for an old thread that i posted in this section six months ago and eight month ago. but nobody could be bothered to reply to the original request. so hopefully now that the site has had an update, someone could look at this and do something about it.

basically, more and more people are getting iPhones and iTouches etc. and they can save a shortcut of a web page on their home screen. there is a link in the threads that i made, explaining how to add an web clip icon to the site.

Liking that, it looks like the text is sat oo high on the icon because it blends into the background.

BTW Got your theme but haven't had a chance to try it yet, been busy buying a car

I've just had a look at the icon, and I must agree, the txt it a bit high. The icon looked good at stupid o'clock this morn. I can alter the txt easily enough if they want.

No worries about the theme. I too have been busy. But I have made a few new changes to the theme. I updated my phone to iOS 4.1 over the weekend and there are some file location differences. I've also found some more bugs that need fixing. Nothing major. Just some background images. Good luck on the car hunt.

I thought it was just becuase the icon blended into the forum background, so it looked like the text ws all at the top of the icon. Once I realised it seemd OK to me. Will give you a shout once a bit of free tie comes up and then I can try the 4.1 version on our phones as we upgraded last week.

Yep 4.1 is a pain for locations, I'm constantly tweaking bits on mine and waiting for paged backgrounds. We've already picked the car, it's Nev's (well Amy's) RVR HSGR, and pick it up on Wed. the problem was trying to sort all the bits to get it to pass the roadworthiness test once it gets to Germany!
