level 20 a spec, level 27 b spec. got me the f1 car. progressing through endurance races is ridiculous. have done done the first 3 with b spec and haven't played since. there's no way i'm sitting in front of a screen that long!
I got boared with this game very quick... I had prologue and was expecting a whole new game, new graphics, damage and game play... No difference really, all I play is time trial at nurburgring and learn that track a bit for when I make my trip over there.
Here For a good time, not a long time!
I'm on level 23 and I need loads of money to get a race car.
I've got the yellow hat gtr that I've got 600bhp but it is not quite fast enough.
I did my first wet race in the gtr that was a very hard race but I did win.
The start was hard as I could not see a thing as I like the realism of sitting in the car.
my b-spec bob is running his secnd 24h at the mo. grinding to finish b-spec now, i've only the more diffilcult special events and races left to do.
get your bob to level 35 (its easy) and you get a free x2010
If anybody is looking for a particular car post it here, i have loads of race cars and lmp, dtm, rally, near 300 cars anyway, i'll prob have something you want, first come first served due to 1 per day limit.
the M3 GTR is a pretty quick car but not quite quick enough for some things.
It is but it eats my dust when im in my Opel touring car.
I did all the bonus seasonal events yesterday, easy exp and money, definatly do them if you haven't, before they're gone, plus they are good fun. Even if you have to buy the car to do the event , the payout covers the cost of the car, tyres and the basic upgrades needed.
Also did the first a-spec endurance event yesterday (60 laps around grand valley) in my m3 race car, too much car for the event but what a pleasure to drive it around that track.
Did the second a-spec endurance event today (4 hour mx5 event in suzuka) in my 1.6 mx5, 250bhp, comfort soft tyres, lapping the field every 13 laps, drifting around every corner. so much fun.
I'll probably knock out the 90 laps around laguna seca tomorrow, the m3 should be a better match in that race. or the legnum at max tune with racing hard tyres.
I still haven't done the nascar or formula gt events in a-spec yet, how did you guys get on in those events? I dont expect too much trouble from them, but am not bothered doing them yet.
b spec did the gt easily for me so in a spec should be a walk over. it cant do the nascar at the moment and aint high enough to try in a spec
i havent bought GT5 yet as i heard it was a major disappointment. Might swap it for BFBC2
agggggh this poxy grand tour event is killing me 3hours today trying to gold the 8c event.
Golded each of the other events on the first or second try, but this one, nightmare.
Just loaded GT5 up for the first time. Certainly a good start with a brilliant intro song and video.
Right, who uses a steering wheel with GT5? I bought the official GT5 wheel today and am finding it near impossible to complete a race. I have no troubles whatsoever with a trusty controller. Starting to think I've bought a dodgy wheel!
yea it takes a while to get used to, correcting oversteer is the hardest part.
in the settings menu use the simulation setting, force feedback 10 and no power assist.
i have the geartick as reverse/handbrake when i'm not using manual gears, much easier.
2 months in i'm just now constantly posting faster times than using the ds3.
plus you need a very stable base for the wheel, if it moves around at all you'll struggle to get used to it.
anyone got their on screen GT5 names listed we could have a vr4 battle on screen lol
furry hugs to all

I've got that wheel (the logitech GT Driving Force) and I find exactly the opposite! Definately improves your game, shaving down your lap times, and it just soooooo much better to play with than the controller, the force feedback is great. Had cheaper wheels in the past like the cheaper thrustmatsers etc but they are poor. In fact, I actually wouldn't see the point playing without the logitech now. Only thing is, of course, is it needs clamping down in front of you on a table or something.
