    Squeaky Wiper Blade Motor

As with most of the UK today the rain was coming down with force - put my wipers on for a 20 minute journey and every time the motor gets to the end of it's range and changes direction it squeaks

So OK the radio was turned up as a solution for now, but is this a serviceable part, so WD40, or is it a WTB thread time?

    Thanks
why fix it the right way first time - when excessive swearing can occour when it all goes wrong when you don't?

Now with 5.7 liters of V8 muscle

Its probably the blades getting past their best or the windscreen needs a good scrub. I'd try cleaning the whole lot with toothpaste & a damp sponge first & see how it goes. Its messy but it works a treat!

Mine was doing this for a bit and seemed to sort itself after driving me up the wall for a 2 hour journey! Might just go away (hopefully).

It could quite likely be dirt, I cleaned the blades when I got to work best I could, but they were still squeaking, the blades were only purchased during last spring with Bosh ones. However the car hasn't been cleaned since it started snowing since before Christmas!!!! On my to do list ASAP, probably tomorrow or Sunday as I think I will see a "clean me" written on it soon... But all 4 vehicles are dirty - so it's prioritising

Hopefully it clears itself like it did for you Brad, easiest and cheapist option

No probs! I remembered who wrote the original thread, which made it a lot easier to find.

Well took the Legnum out the next morning and they have stopped sqeaking, typical when it wasn't raining! Hopefully like Brad it's a one off event
