Hi all newbi here.
We are looking for a 03 galant 2.5 v6 elegance Estate for our next car.. Baby on the way and have been looking for a suitable car to replace a POLO with big boot etc , Neighbour picked up a very nice nick 50k miles full leather etc Elegance last year and it looked like it had just drove out the show room from new amazing condition , and after having alook around we decided this would be idea motor for our needs.
We went to view the black one on Auto trader today 77k and was pretty suprised at how pokey they are .. The car had alot of marks and scratchs and a few rust spots on the slam panel and rear hatch and rear arches .. Also had a cracked rear spring and invoice for other springs that were replace (Common fault???) due to cracking.
The car also pulled very hard to the right and had a pissed steering wheel where it seems front left shock and suspension assy had been replace but not re tracked .. They wouldnt push much on price £3500 and seeing as the neighbour picked his up for 3500 with alot less miles and show room condition we decided to walk away and keep looking for a better one...

The rear springs is not a known common fault, but rusting rear arches are! You did right to walk away from that one though - it sounded dreadful!!


Whereabouts in Glos are you? We be from round them parts mind!

Sorry forgot to say we are looking for a low miler Estate with leather poss black or silver Elegance..
Yeah defo wasnt a great example despite the leather and gen inside looking like new ..

Good luck in your search, remember othere trim levels can be very similar, so don't discount it if it is badged differently. Hope you find what you want!

I see the sport can basicly be the same with the leather option from factory..

But dam these cars are rare.. Not many for sale (I know bad time to be looking)

Yes have looked at that one, little high on miles plus id like the 2.5 V6.
