I am looking at buying a Legnum that is wearing adjustable coilovers, with red locking rings. Anyone know what they are? I tried searching for purple coil overs and got lots of threads that told me nothing useful!

No idea but I will take them off your hands to thoroughly test them if you want
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car
got any photos Nick , could be cusco ?
Hi Nick, can confirm they are most likely Cusco Vacanza coilovers. I can take a picture of the ones I pulled from a Legnum the other day if that helps. The ones I have are not damper adjustable though and have dark plum coloured height adjusting rings. Hope that info helps a little.
cusco vacanza is gold, as per there vacanza sway bars,
the coil overs have machined anodised orange hats

My adjustables on my Evo are red and are Apexi N1's if that helps?
Still here somewhere........
my mates supra had tom's avox coilovers on, they are an anodised red top, rings and bottom bit. the red is quite light tho, pinky purple almost.
The only photo I have at the moment:

I see they have assister springs Nick.. That must narrow it down a bit ? The collars might not be original ?

It's the right colours, for sure! But the assister springs are at the top on your photos, but at the bottom on mine....
Did Tanabe do any other ones for the VR4?
doesnt matter the spring can be swaped around, my cuscos have them on the bottom, and my tanabes dont have any at all
Thanks for the info! Could well be tanabes then.
