    EOI: 1997 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Manual

    It pains me to do this, but I need to replace my other halfs car after writing it off, car won't be available for purchase until I leave hospital which is a few days from now.

    YEAR: 1997
    COLOUR: Pyrennes Black
    MILEAGE: 125000 (although possibly less)
    R.F.L.* EXPIRY DATE: November 2011
    M.O.T. EXPIRY DATE: May 2011
    PRICE: Around £4500

    DESCRIPTION:

    Pre-facelift Galoon Manual VR-4, has quite a lot of good points;
    • Full service only 1500 miles ago including cambelt change, refurbished injectors and rocker cover gasket set
    • Oz Racing 17" Alloys fitted with new Toyo T1-R tyres 1600 miles ago
    • Uprated Intercooler with red silicone pipework
    • Facelift front hub carriers, Brembo Calipers, near new EBC yellow stuff pads and near new OEM disks all round
    • Peak Warn stepper motor gauges measuring oil temp, oil pressure and boost pressure fitted in single din bracket
    • Brand new Sony ipod-compatible head unit with brand new In Phase speakers all round
    • Evo Lightened flywheel + uprated clutch, quick shift kit
    • SARD 530CC Injectors, Walbro Fuel Pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator supplied ready to fit to car, with matching rail kits and adapters
    • Uprated AYC rear diff (it's suspect if this came from an Evo 7 or 8 though)
    • Magnecor 8.5MM HT leads with NGK Iridium IX plugs
    • HKS Super Hybrid Panel Filter
    • Fluids replaced with Amsoils finest
    • Mileage may be closer to 100k due to incorrect offset on previous tyres / alloys used, speedo was reading too fast


    And the not-so-good:
    • Exhaust has a hole it in near back-box
    • Usual stone chips and parking marks

    Way I see it you was doing a favour by taking the MG for its MOT, therefore in compo for your troubles YOU should get some new shiney bits

    (sorry - not trying to start a domestic.............)

    Or, if you have some of the original parts, sell of the uprated bits, return to standard, use this money to buy another car, then buy some more upraged bits in a few months time? That way, get another car & get to keep this rare beast
    Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car

    Depends how long you want to wait, dude. It's not an outrageous price, but it puts you firmly in the "right buyer" category, rather than "quick sale".

    Sorry Jas, just a question but was there no insurance on the MG?

    I was only covered third party on the MG, and as no one else was involved, it all has to come out of my pocket :/
