Thumbs up What I was lucky to receive JUST a broken leg for...

Guys I won't be going to [Eurospec], sorry, I've been in a car accident and broken my left femur (thighbone) and am currently bedridden in Selly Oak hospital :/

    What happened

It was a downward lefthand bend, I was coming down a hill on overrun, noticed my speed was creeping up just over the posted limit, put my foot on the brake and heard a scraping sound, took my foot off, instantly thought "brake dust, give it a bit more welly", put my foot on the brake a little too hard and the back of the car span out.

I tried to compensate but then the car fishtailed the other way, hit a pavement and then a brick wall, pinning my leg between the dash and my hip in the back of the chair. I was there for 90 minutes until the fire service managed to cut me out.

No comments about how the car is just a Rover or anything like that please, this car saved my life, I was lucky to just receive a broken leg.. yes it's not a VR-4 but it was someones pride and joy :/

I was driving Chris's MG back from Nicks house after just getting it MOTed, there was a scraping noise when I applied the brakes, I stupidly tried to reapply them a little too firmly when coming round a corner and the backend span out, tried to countersteer but it only made it worse and wrote the car off in someones brick wall. Took the fire crew an hour to cut me out of the car. After seeing pics of the car afterward, I realise just how lucky I didn't break my neck, it's a mangled wreck

Nope, doubt we ever will, car had to be scrapped as we couldn't afford the 100 quid a day storage

I really am lucky, I'll post up the pics as soon as I get them.
