Vibrations in neutral

Hallo

When in neutral or park (A/T), the car vibrates slightly when it's around 1500 - 2000 rpm. You can feel it in the whole car. Vibrates for two seconds and stops, two seconds and stops and so on...

There was some problems with auto box on this particular car (ran dry cause of TC seal failure and rebuild again).

Question is simple: what can cause it? Can converter give this kind of shudder?

Could it be the bottom cross member being bent & touching the gear box?

I did actually checked that, but there was no contact... But will it not make some rattling noise, if there was any mechanical contact? Those vibrations doesn't say anything, you can just feel them, like there's some kind of unbalace in the engine...

When My TC seal went a couple of years ago & Peter fixed it I had the same sort of symptoms When sitting at lights or sitting still.

Took the cross brace off & straightened it & it solved the problem.

Was there also vibrations at idle? Mine vibrates only with light throttle

What condition are the engine mounts and roll-stoppers in? It could be that a tired mount is allowing more movement than normal and 1500-2000 rpm is where the frequency builds the movement up a bit?
