Swinks, VR4kaos and kinkyafro have remapped prefacelift ecu
I have a facelift ecu with some little tweeks and Electronic boost control. The ecu tweeks are raised fuel cut level and allowable duration before fuel cut activates, these on there own are performance mods, it just lets me use all the boost i want to dial in without being pegged back by the fuel cut.
I had the boost set quite conservitivly on the dyno run as i did not know what the afr's were going to look like. But i think there is plent of room for improovement .
Fuel cut is a good Feature to have on the ecu, it is a protaction setting to stop you damaging the engine, but it does seem that it is very conservitively set at the factory, which is why you can raise it as long as you afr's are OK.
so the next thing to do is get a wideband o2 sensor fitted and gauge to allow me to monitor the afr while play with the boost.

Bye for Now!
This remind me i will post up the evoscan log i did whilst the dyno run was being do, for anyone that is interested. Sorry can't do it now as i am on my ipad and the files are on my laptop.
It is just one log for the whole dyno run so it has the warm up the torque converter load up and the 3 dyno runs.
log file below:-
can't upload it, the uploader will not recognise any .csv files
i have changed the file extention to .ZIP (i have not zipped it). just change the file extention to .csv once you have downloaded it and it will be usable by evoscan.
[ATTACH]43496[/ATTACH
i have tested if the download and rename works and it does the file does not get corrupted you can ignore the warning windows gives you.

I will edit my post to include you tomasz
Which is a good advert for the tweeked prefacelift ecu's that nutter john and kickyafro have developed as you are all at the top oof the power figures.
But obviously the ecu is not the only mod you all have. There are some required mods that have to be done to make use of the ecu new capabilities, just to make it clear.

i was too way back when i first got mine but i think a lot of loses are down to wear and tear tbh Ian
Finally had a chance to find out what is up with mine & booked in at Mitsi on Friday Whens the next one?
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car
What did you have done?
a few pics i took when i got there!!!
Nothing til Friday but apparently (after explaining over the phone, follwed by an "oops") I have a boost leak from something that was not connected up plus also, he has said that now I have an aftermarket dump valve, my factory one should have been turned around & plugged so that could be causing issues. I only pretended to understand what he was talking about but he is claiming it would explain a few things. Hopefully make sense to someone on here
was hoping to do one at dynodemons Dave in the wirral where i went the other day i beleive the club has done a rr their before so some members may be know of it was thinking around october/november time when the weather is a lot cooler
