Christchurch Earthquake !!!

It seems to have quietened down again, although we did have a few big aftershocks just before christmas.

I was down there in November I think it was for work. We went into the red zone (company we use down there had passes). All I can say is unbelievable....

It was quite upsetting seeing the churches etc, the way the road had subsided by the Avon was out of it!

The thing that was quite sad was seeing how bad the Grand Chancellor was. The day after our wedding we flew down to Christchurch for the Pearl Jam concert and then the following day we flew out to start our honeymoon - that was where we stayed

my aunt is in Christchurch at the moment - I got an email from her today to say how stunned she was at the damage and said the news over here gave no clue as to just what happened to you guys.
