!HELP! autotraderimports.com ship the wrong VR-4 to me !

Hello everybody,

I bought the White Legnum VR-4 with 80.000km as shown on the pic below from Frank Fleury at autotraderimorts.com in december 2010.



Yesterday I want to pick up my Legnum in Bremerhaven and what I see and hear was the pure nightmare. See the picture below.



The legnum they ship to me has 173.000km on the odometer, the Interior and headlight are different and the engine makes noisy mechanical sounds. They were so terrible that I don´t want to drive the Legnum back the 470km to Berlin because I was afraid that the engine will blow off on the highway. I´m really despaired what I should do now! I have already payed all fees, taxes and customs duty!

Does anyone have some references for me? Am I the first one who get the wrong car? Any other negative experience with autotraderimports.com?
Does anybody know Frank from autotraderimports.com?

The pictures are very small, but even I can tell that they are different cars, due to the lack of roof rails.

Why did you take the car away? I would have demanded my money back cause it wasn't what was ordered.

deffo a different car , on the invoice for the original payment did it have the chassis number on ? ,if so then does it compare to the one they have sent , if not then you can prove it is not the car you ordered

I've never heard of them before, I'm sorry to hear you'd have such a bad experience. They are clearly two different cars and I assume you have refused to sign acceptance of the delivery. I'm not sure where you'd stand in the UK, let alone Germany but I take it the supplier is based in Japan anyway.

As John says, they should have provided a chassis number on the invoice, they seem to list them on the adverts (Did you keep a copy of hte advert anywhere?). If that doesn't match then you're at least part way to resolving the issue, my concern will be if they mistakenly switched the cars between two customers. I suppose the other question is, do you get a refund of the taxes paid if the car gets returned?

contact that company, if they don;t agree to sort it out unfortunately you will have to get a lawyer involved i think
i would also if you need to contact the japanese embassy as they say they are registered with the chamber of commerce in tokoyo.
reason i say this is that i had to get some info about companies in japan and the embassy were very helpful

sorry to hear of you dilemer,.
from the pictures you have provided the car you should have got had cibie light as well the other has standard.
how car they make such a mistake.
