    Another lucky guy from germany

    Hi @ all,
my name is Dennis, i´m living in the near of Frankfurt/Germany, i´m 31 years old and i´m a Galant VR4 owner since last week tuesday.
Here are some pics from my new ride, but still with english registration. I hope the car get the german registration in the next couple of weeks. But therefor we have to change some parts.

I think we´ll have a lot of fun in the next time.

How did you get the steering wheel on the wrong side? The interior is all wrong for a VR4, so I'm guessing that came from the left hand drive donor car too....

The seats is from RHD VR-4!!!
Does is mean, that you can't adjust the seat height on the driver side now?! That can't be too comfy...

It´s a LHD conversion with parts from a LHD Galant and parts from the VR4. And of course i must still change some parts. But therefor the steering wheel is on the right side

Good luck getting it legal and road worthy. You will have a very rare car once that is done!

    Hi Dennis!

Why this? If it's a japanese car it will have km/h anyway. If it's from UK there is a speedo converter chip fitted you simply have to remove. Either it sits near the ECU or near the AT gearbox. Changing the Speedo will not help much...
Additionally, if the car has been in the UK before, there must be a rear fog light, so no need to wire a new one in.

By the way, I'd like to suggest to becom a paid member on here. Many useful info's and the annual fee is only 20 GBP.

    - englische Papiere (also EU Papiere) hast Du

Also z.B. die Evo Bremsanlage etc..
By the way how can i get a full member?

Or it could be the photo was developed in mirror image

No, the steering wheel is really on the left side. Some guys from Bulgaria make the conversion with parts from a "normal" Galant.

Actually you do need swap: firewall, steering rack, gear selector cable, clutch cable, master and slave cylinders, pedals, main dash board, centre console, handbrake, front seats, airbags, fog lights (side), headlights, side mirrors, door cards, door electrics and locks, and many few small bits I forgot already.
Anyway, once completed job by professional garage (firewall swap requires expert skills in welding) it's really pleasure to drive.

    Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar

Tomasz, you've forgot one important bit - WIRING!!! It takes me only two days to swap firewalls, but it took me two weeks to make a new loom for my last conversion (first one took a month...)
And A/T conversion is more complicated, cause there's no LHD cars with ASC, so you can't just re-use brake lines/ABS unit from the donor car.
