You meanies! I was trying to listen to some Dire Straits and Radiohead earlier, courtesy of wife, to finetune the system. However, on my own i let loose the Terry T remix of Xhibit's Paparazzi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTlWvYtMmVk) and Omg! rattling body panels, inside mirror too blurry to see behind and so on. Mayhem a run!

I scored 142.8 db on Termlab when it was in the Saab. The sound in this setup seems clearer, maybe the cabin design being an estate helps the soundwaves to form better.

Only downside is a 'friend' borrowed the car one day, ramped the amplifier into clipping and overcooked one of the voicecoils. So now it does not kick in properly until a decent volume level.

Call me what you want, but I need some kind of tune/melody. Endless repeating noises without that become irritating!

Prodigy just isn't that Bassy, though. Love them, but short of "Hyperspeed" and maybe one or two of the "Charly" remixes - it doesn't actually go that low.
Pendulum goes much lower. However, the lowest of the low still has to be "Slam" -- nothing they've done since goes deeper.
For true depth, though, it HAS to be deep, nasty, DubStep I just can't listen to it for too long, though - after 45 minutes, I'm bassed up and need something less sinister.

    Bring on some vr4 soundoffs!!!

Lots of track suggestions there - maybe i need to upgrade the subs! The Chemical Brothers track sounds worth it, also Pendulum is there though i prefer i couple of tracks from their first album for the bass content.

Dubstep - it's awful in general, though some tracks from the Steppas Delight album and the Burial albums are good.

For bass it's D&b all the way for me! Love the pace, melody, squelchiness and all round feeling compared to dubstep which just seems to plod on.

Anyone got a good home stereo, try Bass i Love You and see how low that track goes.

You can get some good audio test tracks in cd/download with a wide array if sounds and frequncy to test and tune your system. There worth a go.

As far as music, gotta agree with Jamil. Not into my dubstep
