Having just upgraded to Brembos, what make of pad should I be going for , EBc, Std or has anybody any suggestions ?

How rich are you feeling? I have got Performance Friction discs and pads on the front of mine and in my opinion they are worth the money.
I have Brembo pads on mine, Had major squeel, was recommened these to stop noise (only tracking sorted it) but not impressed with stopping power, looking at red stuff next
cosworth pads seemed very up to the job on mine
just waiting to get my car back but it now has carbotech xp8 pads, the evo/mlr boys rave about these
If you can live with the dust, Carbotechs. Simple. But they cost a bit now too.
I'd expect any decent make/compound that is normally good, to be just as good in the Brembo fitment. So the likes of Ferodo or EBC that get good reviews will be just as good.

ebc reds, would be my pick, good value for money imo, good stopping power, just need a liittle warm up
stock pads are ok, just feel spongy IMO, no noise thou,
but ive never had any noise from my brembos (brembo, ebc, endless)
Ive heard Mintex are good with no squeal but again need warming up.
Paul, I still have the Carbotechs I bought off you. I've not had any squeal from them at all on my car. I get squeal in reverse, but I can live with that. I think its just hit and miss with individual systems and brake calipers.
The one thing I find though, now that I'm doing so little driving, the brakes never get hot enough on the tiny short trips I do! The Carbotechs are a litle overkill in my case, so I'd seriously recommend having a good think about exactly how hard and how often you drive and whether a medium brand/compound setup will give you enough stopping power instead of going over the top and using the likes of Carbotechs. They are good but in my opinion they are overkill for regular day to day driving.
I have had a fair few pads in my Brembos. Pagid Blues only squeeled in reverse. OMP group N stuff squeeled to the point of getting sworn at by other road users. Cheapy Ferodo stuff squeeled, but not so badly.
Performance Friction cost a fortune, but the have NEVER squeeled at all, and provide impressive stopping power cold and IMMENSE stopping power hot. On track days they get better and better, to the point that the fluid is now the weak point. (4 year old Super Blue, so time for a change anyway!) Also, after a couple of years, several track days and a few thousand miles, they still have plenty of wear left. Like I said, they are expensive, but IMO worth the money.
