Has anyone actually tried to hold the brakes while the revs rise to 5700rpm???

I gave it a bit of a go but the car started creaping at just over 3000rpm, how you'd be able to hold it at 5700rpm I have no idea?

 Obviously a triumph of simulation over reality then .... As haydar said, and proved!, "Don't know if the brakes would be up to it"

    Brian,

Do you mean you rev the engine to 5700rpm in 'N' then dump in into 'D'?

If you do do it, you'll find your transmission will be screwed by the time you get to the end of the 400m's

    Don't do it:nono:
