WTG mate...
so decided to go down ostrich path than evo 5- 8 ecu?
Yup That's fair enough... which FPR did you go for in the end?
Kind delivery guy gave me these that fell out the back of his truck!
Fantastic!
Well if you dont want them then send them to me
You laugh but the Octavia certainly needs stiffer springs!
Anyways, yesterday was a productive day. Got the Evo3 front splitter fitted along with Evo 3 side skirts, makes the car look a bit beefier...
New wheels and tyres on today so will post a pic later on!
DTM mirrors just ordered to save a few pounds!
reducing weight has begun again in earnest, door cards are out, rear window opening mechanisms removed, headling and seat belts to go later today....
Car as it sits now!
So a personal acheivement here, I have changed my first suspension! Never done it before, read and read and read up as much as I could then took my time, but scary at first but its only way to learn!
The first one took me nearly all day but was interuppted with work phone calls quite a few times, the second rear took me all of half an hour!! Fronts to tackle next!
New wheels wrapped in my favourite road tyres Falken 452's, I plumped for black in the end. May go bright colours for the track wheels in the future
17x7 Racing Sparco NS2's as far as Im aware
The car as it sits now, added E3 lower splitter plus some generic E3 side skirts which I need to bond to body to close the gap...needs a bloody good wash, detail and wax....im loosing the plot in a track car! Im beginning to care about this!!!
Oh and by far my favourite fettling was fixing my non windy/working drivers window! The joy of having an openable window!! I utilised the rear window mechanism, thinking along the lines of more lessness!!! so rear window is permantly shut!
Very good Mikey Mike!
Bet you're itching to get this on a track now.
She's looking awesome mate, and looking forward to seeing her in October
Mike, the car's looking like its had a course of steriods and bulked up! Some nice new mods there too. Hows it driving after the suspension mods?Still lovingit after the ECU n remap? Still on the Quest for more power?
Looking good Mike
The mighty Leedsnum has gone but the Airtrek mods will soon fill this space
