    VR4 acceleration times

Does anyone know the standard 0-60 mph or 0-100kmh acceleration times for a standard VR4? Most motoring magazines will quote a time when talking about a new car but I'm still left wondering how it compares to a VR4!
Also is it possible to calculate a time from a 1/4 mile timeslip? I found several online calculators but they all give different times so its a bit of a guess as to which one is accurate lol.

Standard times have been quoted between 6.0 and 6.7 I think, from memory. I have never seen a Mitsubishi document with a claimed time on, just magazines quoting the claimed time. All I can think is the variation is because journalists can't find the actual time or it is the difference between auto/manual/saloon/estate.

There are calculators from 1/4 mile slips but I can't remember which one has been used in the past!

In the official Ralliart brochure (for the UK cars, so auto (maybe)) the unofficial figures are 6.9 for Saloon & 7.0 for the Estate (I assume this is prior to confirmation as also says next to 'TBA'), but then it does also quote the top speeds as 149 & 142
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car

Parkers have the following for Saloon : http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/...spx?model=1408 and estate : http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/...aspx?model=576

    Again not sure how accurate.

Sounds about right, I think a 300bhp VR4 should comfortably be under 5 seconds 0-60mph.

My PB with 287bhp was 5.2seconds, but I couldnt get my launches correct.
