Just seeing if this generates any interest: Its the box and ECU from the Airtrek

I have had an offer on the complete front end, couple that with what I would expect to get from the engine then its making me contemplate breaking.

As far as I know its a later type ref W5A51 which should have a later model ECU. Which is know to have better reaction times to the earlier models. Those who have driven the Airtrek will confirm this.

So what am i expecting for this?

Further parts which crossover I suspect may be drive shafts. Diffs possibly?

Plus if anyone wants to convert their V6 to the more tuneable 4G63 then the entire engine and autobox should go straight in!!!

Would that be better than my facelift box Mike. I do not know which models/years the box was used on.

Its effectivly the Evo 7GTA box, which I do know the ECU was upgraded. I will need to find out more on the actual box.

Also the Airtrek has steering wheel gear changes..........

Don't want to put anyone of Mike but the steering wheel is a pig to fit to the VR4. Don't know if it would be made easer with box as well though.

Roadrunner has one fitted to his VR4 & his mate John who fitted it said he would never do another one.

Surely you could use one of my paddle shift kits Andy. It must work the same way as the tiptronic ?

More than likely Mark. I just know that the E7 GTA steering wheel is a lot of work to fit to the VR4.

because of the uprated ECU to the gearbox that accepts paddle shift I cant imagine the difficullty being as extreme as Roadrunner experienced? Its purpose made after all?
