    ayc reservoir

    checked my ayc reservoir today as there was a slight leak from around the cap,i recently had the oil changed
    could it have been over filled ,i have checked it and it seems ok can the seal fail on the cap and can you get
    a replacement sorry for the long question

    Has it done it since?

    If not, I suspect you are right, in that it was overfilled. I had this with mine - the overflow ended up dribbling out of the bottom of the rear offside wing by the rear wheel arch.

    yes thats the one i have had a drip of oil from under the wing then some oil around the res cap ,whats the best cure syringe some oil out ? thanks for the reply

    What does it say on the dipstick? The max line on the dipstick is a fair way down from the cap height, so you wouldn't expect to see oil coming out of the cap.

    hopefully sorted the problem tonite the level was way above the max line took out 150cc of fluid

    That should do it.

    TBH, if you've got the AYC fully activated, it would likely have already squeezed out any excess fluid that it was going to.


    Still, nothing like a decent excuse to go roundabout hunting!
