Hi has anyone experienced Reverse Light failure? I've tried changing the fuse but it blows as soon as I put it in reverse gear. Checked the plug on gearbox and looks ok. Feel a bit of a div putting my Hazards on every time i reverse!

If your blowing Fuses sounds like a short somewhere are we talking Manual or Auto if Auto your selector switch if faulty
Check you bulbs are seated ok in holder too

It's a manual.the bulbs seem to be fine. i can live without them just thought if its an easy fix then I'd have a crack at it
You won't be able to live without it come MOT time though and PC Plod won't be too keen on it either.
Definitely something along the reverse wiring is shorting out, need to follow it from switch to bulb and back again. You could try taking the bulb out before putting it in reverse which would confirm which side of the circuit the fault is on.

Surprisingly it's not on the MOT. But never want to give the bizzies any excuse to pull me over either! will try that thing with the bulbs tomorrow Lee cheers
Hmm, something that's tested here but not in the UK, interesting.
Yeh surprising isnt it?You'd think reverse lights would be more important than the horn, yet the Horn is part of the MOT here
