Started the Major Servicing today.

Well the time has come to get the major servicing done. Been gagging to get all this done but i don't play mechanic when its cold outside.

-Ordered my Amsoil ATF on Friday from Performance Oils and would like to just thank Don for his help on the phone.
-New spark plugs going in tomorrow. Gone for iridiums.
-Fault on the EGR needs sorting.
-ICV needs looking at if the new plugs don't sort the shuddering on idle, also picked up the odd misfire on number 3 so im hoping its the plugs.
-Timing Belt and water pump on order.
-Coolant to change.
Brakes to overhaul but all working ok, just look crap.
-One rear wheel arch still to do, the worst one is done, filled with some paint on it, but no clear coat yet. Just bought an aerosol of "Halfords almost" colour matched paint then split the can and chucked it in my spray gun until i can get some decent paint.
-Patch up the under-seal and get better protection on the back arches.
-Get the cracked alloy welded and refurbed.

Should keep me (but volunteers welcome) busy for a few weeks, but the car should be a mint runner once im all done.

So all members on standby, cos I'm sure i will break something.

Not as much as im looking forward to seeing the results.

Amsoil ATF change today. Not to bad, but glad i don't have to do it again and i looked like a serial killer after it burped out of the funnel..

Alloy wheel is being welded.. be nice to get back to a full set of wheels, and have a spare in the boot.

As said above.. Sounds like a real mission But Sounds like your well underway to achieving your goal.. Hope the results are worthwhile of the effort, as i'm sure they will be

yes mate its been a mad few weeks with work and the servicing. Intend to keep the car for a while and want to use it as a long distance cruiser.
