    Fog Lamp insanity

ok, so MOT on monday so im checking the lights of my new purchase... fog lamps are not working, neither front or back. i have one single switch in the dash, when pressed the sidelights come on (a si assume they are supposed to on a VR4 (even if lights are switched to off) but the front fogs and rear fog dont come on.
front bulbs are fine, fuse is fine. i didnt check the rear bulb yet.

    does this make sense?

i figure if there was a wiring problem the sidelamps wouldnt come on when i press the fog light switch..... any thoughts? or am i just missing something too obvious
    VR4-less for a while

That switch is normally for the front fogs only. And yes, it does automatically put the sidelights on.

Usually, the rear fog is wired on a separate switch, installed when imported into the UK.

i at first thought the same about the rear fogs being on a seperate switch, as its far easier to do that upon import, however........ no switches to be found!? so maybe its wired from the fronts i thought. Maybe ill have to trace the wire back from the rear fog.....

as for the fronts, ill have a look with a fresh brain tomorrow but the switch and wiring appear fine if the sidelights come on it seems

solved - it was of course just me being tired or whatever as teh switch for rear lamp was found stashed behind the dash bizzarely.
cant say im impressed with the process of changing the front offside fog lamp bulb however! lol

Why it is pretty straight forward.
The easiest way to do it is to jack the front of the car up and put on axel stands.
Get you head up under the bumper so you can see what you are doing.
Grab the back of the foglight twist it, it comes off remove bulb twist back of foglight back on.

When you know what you need to grab and twist, you don't even need to jack the car up.
    Perfectly straight forward.
You do not need to remove the foglight.

    Bye for Now!

i agree, however, im on a 60mm drop, no axel stands at hand, and the offside lamp is jammed hard to the washer fluid bottle and whatever else is next to the intercooler pipe, which, if i could get properly below it (as at the moment arm angles just arent happening on the deck), it would be easy like the other side which took 2 minutes, so i guess ill wait till its on the ramp tomorrow :-)
