    Need help with part number

Anyone who can help me. I am going to change the fanbelt on my Galant, but I need a part number.

The fanbelt I got mounted is a Gates Auto Master Mikro V 58391, and I measured it to 134-135cm

I want the mitsubishi part number for this, but not sure how to find it.

If anyone has ASA and bother to help me, my car is a Galant with 4G63, 98 model imported from germany. It has climate control. The fanbelt is the one for the servo and AC.
The one and only... Galant with PFL VR4 bumper complete with fogs and Super VR-4 canards in Norway (unless you know otherwise)

Mods done: Eyelids, PFL VR-4 foglights, clear corner indicators and side indicators, VF-4 front strut brace, Custom rear strut brace, cusom "sports" air filter, lowered, custom sound system and Super VR-4 canards

    Alf,

Might I suggest that you download the EU version of ASA, as you'll find only a few members that have that version mounted on there PC's.

Link to said version >> Click here

just follow the instructions and you'll have a working copy so that you can look up and confirm for your self that your getting the right bits.

I can send you a dvd with it on if you want it.

Give me a pm and we can sort you out.

But you will have to get a evo chassis number to get the part number you want.

    Bye for Now!

That Gates part number does not even come up on their website ! Hmmm

Just for your information though, I recently changed the belt on my IX Wagon and the Mitsy belt was over £100, compared to £15 for other decent brands !

Not sure if EVO engines have different belts, but if you know from which EVO (4/5/6/7/8/9) the engine is from I can probably help you with with part numbers.

Think you guys got it mixed up. I have no evo engine in there, it is the original engine that the car was imported from germany with, so ASA and the original chassis number will be correct. Just missing ASA myself. Would make it easier to get the correct parts, since everywhere they ask what car it is, and find the norwegian specs, and they are different. F.ex. my brakes is the same thats on galants from 2001 and above and the v6. But since mine is am german sport edition it had those breaks already on the 1998.

Mye car had a short while am transplant engine from am norwegian car, this was to get it registered as the norwegian car. Then they changed back and showed the car with the original engine.

Guess this was badly explained. The guy whi imported the car, did it to repair a crashed norwegian one. But since the car was so good, he decided to keep it as it is. But it is expensive to import cars to Norway, but if you some main parts from the norwgian car you can get the imported one registered as the norwegian one. That means you get the chassis number from the norwegian one inprinted in the carm and the original one they put a line over to show that the car got a new chassis number.

So he put the engine, drivetrain and gearbox from the norwegian car into mine, and got it registered as the norwegian car. The he changed back to the original stuff and got a engine swapp apporved with the bureaucracy. This made it way cheaper to get the car on the road in Norway.

The fanbelt is fixed, but i still miss having ASA, cause i have gotten loads of wrong parts when ordering. With ASA myself i could check with the original German chassisnumber and see what i need. I guess ASA also have like the measurements of stuff? F.ex. brake discs?

I noticed. I paid like 50£ for the original one, and last time that i changed that belt it was to the gates one. Think i paid like 20£ for that one.

BTW: may have got the part number wrong, since it was very hard to see what it said due to wear.
