Just seen it. Fuzzy picture no idea.
Wonder if it was Jay.
Thing is most cars traveling along a motorway/dual carriageway that are on the outside lane don't always do the speed limit. So if they hog that lane then there is enough room for them to just move over
Problem is it should be the ones that do that being fined for inconsiderate driving not the ones undertaking! There are drivers that do undertake just for the sake of it which I'm not denying
I've followed a Mazda mx5 for 23 miles one day on a motorway, he was doing 60mph in the outside lane for that distance, now there was a Que a mile long behind him
He had no intention of pulling in to the middle lane even when there was nothing beside him, so sod it I under took him. So did everyone else. So how would that of been dealt with? All I wanted to do was get on with my journey
Bloody selfish
Totally agree Steve. One of my pet hates the knob sitting in the middle lane with absolutely nothing in the near lane. If people would use all the lanes properly, congestion could actually be considerably reduced. I've never liked undertaking, but sometimes now you have no choice. Not on about when the smart arse does it just to carve everyone up - they deserve to get pulled.
The twat filming it was probably a cop in a plain car doing sixty goading people to undertake.
As i see it.. He could just be pulling out while accelerating to overtake the car in front ??? I'd be saying prove otherwise.. ?
Steve is right, it's annoying. The once i drove in France, people pulled to the side after overtaking and rarely did i have to use the last lane. Surely to god we could do the same?
Undertaking ???
Since when has it been illegal ?
I got pulled over for undertaking & gambling on an amber / red light only a few weeks back. Officer was sound to be fair to him, first thing he asked was "is it really a VR4? Don't see many about". Wasn't really undertaking as the lanes split into two with the right hand lane for turning right and the left going straight on, just so happened I booted it from a standing start and he heard the exhaust before seeing me go through the amber light.
Well unless someone took the car, changed the numberplate and wheels comitted the crime then changed it all before giving it back, I dont think it was mine lol
wasn't me either lol
Under taking is an offense, if you pull in accelerate undertake then pull out
How ever if you maintain speed and lane discipline that is fine.
It's a route i regularly take on the A2 in the mornings the 6 starts are the worse not only are the hogging lane 2 try 3 and even 4!!!!.
I have even "undertake" the HATO bays, generally the worse on the road, lane hogging and doing 70mph at least the old bill drive at 60 or 80 to ease traffic flow
No longer a VR4 owner
