Lifesure insurance last year £790 this year £2025

Hi all just thought i would let you know lifesure will not be doing insurance for VR4's any more, well not competetive insurance.

It not just me honest.

I have been informed after questioning insurance renewal price of £2025 that the underwriters thay use (NIG) have pulled out of the car insurance martket completely and only doing comercial insurance.

So they will not be able to offer any competetive rates for performance cars at the moment.

If you have a policy with them then i believe it is ok they are going to honour them but you will have to hunt aroud when it come to an end.

The under writer lifesure has quoted me for is liverpool victoria Highway car insurance @ £2025.97

Sky are pretty good, they were the best priced for me this year.... sometime local insurance brokers can do decent rates....

ive decided to go with tradewise due to the amount of cars i buy and sell with me and my mrs fully comp her main car the e46 mine the vr4 = £1600

Dave, I'm in the smae boat as my renewal is due now and I'm with Lifesure. They just dont want the business anymore. I have tried everywhere and I strongly suggest you try Sky.

I've not tried them myself yet but as my policy is up for renewal in just over a month I'll be giving them a call to see how they fare. According to my mate, they look favourably on modified vehicles as they believe anyone willing to spend money on the car will look after the car!

Quite a few people I know with modified cars have been getting good prices/service with 'Hagertys'. I'm with Adrian Flux & A-Plan at the moment.

I checked Hagerty's website and they only cover modded cars which are not everyday drivers so probably no good for most of us.

I also got a quote from A-PLAN ( contact their branch in Thatcham for imports + modified) They gave me a VERY COMPETITIVE QUOTE which I very nearly accepted.

In the end I have gone with SKY as they were able to counter my best offer by a few pounds and I need all the spare cash I can get at the moment!

So I would definately recommend trying: SKY and A-PLAN

Can you confirm that you do not insure Manchester 'M' postcodes at all.

Can you confirm that you do not insure Manchester 'M' postcodes at all.

We insure in all UK mainland postcodes but we are not competitive in 'M' Manchester postcodes

I have used Chris Knott for the last 2 years .No complaints about them or there premium so far

I'll second admiral/elephant (same company) but they don't like if the cars got a lot of mods.
