No disrespect to your mechanic but did he actualy do a full flush? Even experienced mechanics do not know how to do it if they have not done one like ours before and if you ask them did you do a full flush they will answer yes because they think it is the same as an engine flush which its not. If he used less than 10 litres then he did not and your brand new ATF will now be contaminated. I see you are not yet a full member and therefore have not read the article that explains in great detail exactly how it should be done. Seriously if you are going to use a non Misti mechanic (and there is no reason why you shouldn't) then you and he will spare yourselves a lot of frustration and money if you look to see how to do a job before you start. So before you spend any more money save a lot by becoming a member and get access to the best "how to" articles there are.

was it a Mitsi mechanic? Does he know the flush procedure? If not you will find the procedure description for a full flush in the Mitsi workshop manual for the standard 2WD AT gearboxes, every dealer should have.
how much ATF he has used?

Already tried to reset TCU / ECU? Any results?

Yes he did a full flush - I watched him hook it up to the machine.

this issue doesn't bother me so much, just change my habits with my right foot i guess.

crazy: yes I did do an ECU reset

You haven't mentioned which fluid he used.

Nick, I'm unsure but I believe it was the correct fluid - Sp-III?

The problem is worse with heat - for example, today I spent 50 minutes in bumper to bumper gridlock, and after I went on the open road it shuddered and slipped like nobodies business, but going the same route back tonight with no traffic and cruising at 100kmh until warm it seemed to only shudder when the torque converter locks.

Is there a mod that allows the transmission to flow more coolant to the radiator, earlier?

    UPDATE!!!

I decided to try an additive to see if it fixed it - I bought a small vial of "DR tranny's Instant shudder fix" http://www.lubegard.com/~/C-230/Dr.+...t+Shudder+Fixx around $20nzd and it fixed my problem - when the TC locks it no longer shudders and makes life so much easier when cruising - can enjoy the car without working the throttle so much to get it to stop

    thanks for your help guys!!!
