    Front bank exhaust cam pulley/wheel

Mine has a chunk missing after the cam lockers blew when getting it undone to change the cam seal (while doing belt). Have since been using a spare of Adam's but seeing he's doing the motor up I need a replacement for him!

If anyone has a blown motor that they're parting out, tell me what you want for it (the wheel, not the entire motor).

    Cheers,
    Carl.

Was the seal leaking? Reason I ask is I did the cambelt not long before I sold it. That car will be on it's 4th cambelt now lol (water pump failed when it had only done 65k or something like that)

weirdly enough he asked me what the noise was coming from his engine and i thought it was a waterpump. doing his cambelt and waterpump fixed it, odd that the same car will have the same problem twice in its lifetime

@shane i keep forgetting to come have a chat about your crazy engine..

Faaaark! How many km's has it done now? I replaced the original water pump when I did the first cambelt. A while later it developed a coolant leak which after investigation was coming from the impeller seal, so was leaking past the pully.

So had the bearing failed in the pump? I'm interested because I have used this brand of water pump for years without trouble (GMB). My mate has also recently had trouble with a GMB water pump failing prematurely on his V6 Bighorn

i dont accually know if it was the waterpump but it had a grinding/knocking noise coming from between the cyl banks n the cambelt end i suggested waterpump failure, you will have to ask carl about what part accually failed. hope is not GMB as thats the pump i have just bought for my other engine

Haha, it turned out to be one of the idlers actually.

But since I had the waterpump and complete kit it got replaced with another GMB pump haha, but hey - Doing the lot, might as well do a proper job.

Also did the front cam seal as I had the lot in a kit - never got around to rest as I didn't want to break anything else! (Plus too difficult to get to rest really).

Fancy that, I couldn't because someone got bored and welded it to the washing machine

Haha. I'm 90% sure the one I broke wasn't the one with the cam angle sensor, so maybe it was the intake. I shall check tonight when I get home to make sure!
