unknown connector - help please

Hi folks!

As said in my other thread, I found a cable without any connector on it in the engine bay loom. I suspect that this cable is for this bit pictured here (thanks to bernmc for the pic):

The cable color is black w/ white stripe. The car is a FL Legnum Type-S AT w/o TCL. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Isn't that a suppressor to stop interference to the radio ?

As per post #30 it should be some kind of capacitor/condenser but I can not find it within ASA.
