Hi,thought I had better introduce myself, my name is James,and I've had my GLS for about a month and a half now,(ok, so its not a VR-4, but one day!) and all I can say is, I love it, wish I had seen the light years ago. One quick question i have, as a newbie, would a boot lid spoiler from a pre facelift model fit mine? its an October 2001 reg. Thanks

Yes, the boot lid is the same between all 8G saloons.

I also had a 2.0 GLS first, but moved to a VR4 once I could afford it. The GLS was very comfy and a great all round car. You have made a good choice.
As Nev says, the saloon tailgate is the same for a spoiler fitting.

I'm in Kilmarnock, where i've only seen one other, a couple of months back, a vr-4, passing me in the other direction as I was heading out of town and I have never seen it since.
I can only repeat what I said earlier, I wish I'd found them sooner! great car, and when money gets better, VR-4 here I come.
