known issues with seats/rails?

picked the car up this morning and the drivers seat was right back. it wouldnt adjust forward again! 3 of us are puzzled as the release mechanism is operating normally and when forced to the front it only moves back a few inches then bangs against something that sounds metal but none of us can see anything in the way. any ideas?

Take the seat out and have look from the underside.
It is only 4 bolts. But you might have a but of an issue getting the back bolts out, as you would normally push the seat forward to get access to the bolts.
