Was speaking to Nev who said he thought there were a few on ebay for £70, i must have got the wrong ones, thanks John. Anyone tried one of the cheaper ones?
Yes i got one of the £80ish ones for my auto. Been about 12 mounths now and not a problem. Will look through my buying history and see if i can find the name of the guy selling them.
its an auto, thanks for the replies, anyone else have one?
can i bodge my rad to make it safer till the new one comes (when I buy one?)
shame as i have a manual one you could have had
sorry but i have just had a look and i can not find it on my ebay thing so not to sure where i got it from but i am sure i did. The onlt thing i can think of is that i got it out side of ebay which is why it is not showing up.
Err..... Has the link changed? The link now looks like a viking supplied 8th gen rad with the right core size?
link changed back!
try this one, im getting one soon think its the correct one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3207154451...#ht_1506wt_905

Link in posts 1 and 11 now seem to be the same! And it looks like the right rad to me.
Paul - a bodged radiator is never safe. Drive as short a distance as possible and top up the coolant at any and every opportunity if you must drive it. Don't trust the reading in the expansion tank if the car hasn't been cooled down either. If possible, don't drive it until the rad has been changed. Don't forget you might lose a cup full of ATF when it is changed too.
whats the difference between the auto and manual rad?
