how is every one set the this saturday.
i am aiming to be there for about 9.30am ish, and if it is ok with you Karl i would like to bring a set of wheels round, and get the tyres taken off. i can bin the tyres on the way home at the tip as you are allowed to bin 4 tyres at a time without any problem.
i will make sure i bring the pressure bungs and regulators and the like, i might even chuck the compressor in the car so we can do multiple leak tests. all depends on space really.
hope to see yu all there.

    Bye for Now!

I'll be there, hopefully showing off the new remote start.. there was a cafe around there that served Jamaican food that I went too once, was pretty lush, Karl may know where it is? I'll be reaquainting myself with there if I can find it..

I'll second that request for an arch roller Dave, my rears keep chafing, tyres edges looking a bit fluffy.. even pondered changing the wheels but then Xmas is coming so blowing more cash on car parts may leave me unpopular at home..

rolling VR4 arches takes a bit of time to do, due to the wonderfull design of the suspension, the roller hits the top of the hubcarrier so you have to go a bit careful with it, do a bit one side then a bit the other and so on.
i will bring it along, but i will have to do a slight modification to before it can be used, i need weld up a nut on the bottom of it, if the weather fine tonight i will do it at home but if it is raining all night then i might have to bring it round an see if karl has got a welder in his unit i can do a quick tack welder on.
i will bring it along anyway. i wanted to get a proper ballbearing thrust washer to fit on it before i weld the nut on as it will be a one time only weld, as it will distroy the thread the nut goes on. you will see tomorrow.

    Sorry guys,
Update on the arch roller, I have pulled it out of the shed an and given it a run through but it really does need the nut welding on. And it is a one time only action. So when I have the roller bearing thrust washer I will and have the nut welded on I will be happy to lend it out or give you a hand to roll your arches. But doing it tomorrow is not really going to work.

    hi all,
had a good day, nice to see every body again and some new faces.
Big Big Thanks to Karl for hosting the meet at his tyre shop, most excellent.
Karl and crew made us feel very welcome, lots of tea and coffee floating round all day, i did have bring some food with me so we didn't waste away during the day, as i have heard that is possible to starve in a matter of hours. so i didn't want to take any chances. (or that could have been a bad dream).
thanks again for taking all the tyres off the five wheels i brought round and balancing up the ones on my car as well, they feel much better.

sorry for the bit of i shock i gave you all when the bung came out on one of the pressure test we did, i haven't seen a bunch of blokes move so fast in ages, it was only 14psi.

all in all a very enjoyable day.

look forward to the next one!

for those of you that have an issue with rear tyre rubbing, have read through this thread and it should make it a bit more obvious what happens when the suspension compresses

Was thinking, following on from the NZ photoshoot thread - maybe something we could incorperate later on in the day?

Hmm, with the nights drawing in I don't think we would have the time. I was thinking somewhere in chorton or Trafford park for something industrial?
