Scottish meet on Saturday 29th October at Racing Karts is Arrol Square, Livingston

Think we are well over due for a meet & was thinking about go-karting at racelandhttp://www.raceland.co.uk/ Was thinking to go for the indoor track event. Would love to do the outdoor one but at the end of October don't know what kind of weather we would get.

Was hoping to make this a social event as in stay over in a hotel close by so we can go on the piss in the evening

This meet is more for Colin to cheer him up cause he has had a bad few months with his health. Back in May he had to have his appendix out then in July he was rushed to hospital cause he had got an infection. He's been getting over it since then & has an appointment begging of October to get the all clear.

Doris (Colin's partner) Thought that a CVR4 meet would really cheer him up & this is what I'v come up with.
Don't think the karting will be our partners/wife's cup of tea but I'm sure us guys will love it

Put your name down if your interested cause I'd need final numbers in the next couple of week so we can get it book.

I have heard they are good as well Richie. Nothing set in stone so both can be an option what ever everyone prefers.

@Steve & Graham. I didn't expect that response but thanks guys

i have never been karting so i am not in a position to compare them but i thought a 2nd option might be useful. they have a site in newbridge now too which might be more convenient since its just off the M9 at the airport junction

count me in anyway. this is a tight month with £260 tax and sacking my only client but i should be fine by then. 29th is 2 days after my birthday too

i was concerned about costs too Bill but one of the offers is a 5 man team for £110. it sounds like it will be around £25 - £35 each for a few hours for a non special offer booking ie a bunch of middle age nigel mansell wannabes want to tear round your track lol

this is very very much appreciated andy cos i do need to get out the house, racelands indoor track takes about 19 secs a lap and is pretty small, theres the new one in newbridge that richie mentioned and there is also one in deans just up the road from us, ill get details from them cos ive got a couple of friends that work there. so u can put me and the missus down as a definate but i wont be able to race due to the risks but ill cheer yous on, theres also a few hotels in the area aswell and plenty of pubs but i wont be drinking and ill certainly make up for it next time

Ive been to Raceland before Andy on my Stag do the outdoor circuits really good, never did the indoor though. Racing and a piss up afterwoods sounds good, may i also recommend a brewary tour down the road in Dunbar £5 and it was pretty much all you can drink/sample .

Do you have any info on this Rob? See if we can do it after the karting.
