    Hi Joey!

You have an ST with the 1.8 GDI engine, right? Your's is a 4WD already, correct? Auto or manual?

    The work involved?
Basically taking out the engine / gearbox assembly as well as the engine wiring loom and the ECU. Afterwards reassemble with new engine/gearbox unit, new ECU and new loom. There you go. I'd guess it'll take two full days of work.

    You will need following things:
    - engine (of course) with ancillaries (starter motor / alternator)
    - wiring loom
    - matching ECU
    - downpipes
    - matching gearbox
    - driveshafts

Accidentially I do have all the bit's here, as I have converted my ST-R to a VR-4.

Total mileage is 133,000 kms, engine is dry and runs smoothly. It's pre-assembled with the AT-gearbox (which has been refurbed some 15,000kms ago), sitting on a pallet and waiting for someone to buy.Just let me know if you are interested and drop me a PM.

    cheers
    Stefan

can you please tell us, which gearbox you have currently in the car? Maybe it'll fit to the V6 NA engine...

The number is stamped near the AT oil filter and will start with F4A...

Anyhow, the rest for your conversion is here and I am ready to give you a special price. try me!

Are you sure Carsten? My gearbox does say W4A42 and this indicates AFAIK that bell housing is the same diameter. Only thing which might be different is the location of the starter motor, but don't know for sure.

    yes,

the codes only relate to the box itself (but the bell housings are different),

we share the codes with evo box's and can use them, but you have to have the v6 bell housing,
and the evo boys buy our v6 boxes for the longer final drive,

ive just been offered my old gdi estate back, definatly interested in how much it would take to drop a v6 in it as engines no good but its mint looks like a vr4, its just the wiring loom bit that worrys me

Matthew, shouldn't be too difficult as long as you have the correct loom. You will need to change the wiring loom as the injection and the ignition are different. I do have all the necessary bits here, inc ECU. If you are interested, drop me a PM.

Is it auto or manual? In any case you have to take out engine/gearbox and loom. I'd say a weekend max...
