    roof bars

    been thinking about taking my roof bars off when it gets resprayed next year just to make the car look lower and i may save a bit of petrol as less dragg are these easy to take off ?

    yes it is took me 10 mins to take mine off but i did use a blade to remove the roof lining ,

    3 screw hold on each one and access is through the internal lights i think and the support handles .

    when you undo the nut (10mm) it doesnt seem to be undoing but it does lift the roof bar instead untill it releases fully.

    It would have been a lot easier with a ratchet Dave
    It also leaves a strange captive bolt if I remember correctly ???

    its ok holes will be getting filled in and smoothed off

    your right steve it did leave 3 bolts coming out the roof.
