Ignition key

Hi all....

Ive broken my ignition key! only the plastic part though. The microchip and key shaft are both fine.

Does anyone have a spare Main Ignition key (left over from broken car maybe) that I could cannabilize?

I don't want to tread on anyone's toes here, and from your description you are after the key with the remote door locking button on it. Which is a good thing to do and changing the plastic case on the key is probable doable.
but you can get blanks for a few quid from eBay, there is not a transponder in the vr4 key so it is just a case of getting it cut and you have nice new key.
One other thing I assume you have alarm/immobiliser on the car, if so why do you need a replacement key when the alarm fob will lock and unlock the car.

Its the one button key pad, and despite scouring ebay im buggered if I can find a blank legnum key!

Plain old Mitsubishi blanks will do the job! I bought a pair from China (other Asian countries are available! ) for about £6 off of eBay!
