"Open Door" light on permanently, flashes on and off when left indicator is on HELP!

OK, so just replaced the ENTIRE wiring loom throughout the car, was working mint except for no left rear indicator light bulb. Put a bulb in, indicators work fine, except now the "open door" light is on permanently, even when car is off.

If I indicate to the left, the door open light flicks off and on with the indicator.

I get that there is possibly a crossed wire or some such but my electrical knowledge isn't good enough to figure out wtf is going on.

    Any help would be great.

(have checked all door switches, taken battery off etc,)

It is probably more to do with a dodgy earth connection, as long as your loom installation did not include a hack and splice wires together.
Don't know where the earth connections are though.

    Bye for Now!

Years ago Kieran changed his wiring loom from non mmcs to mmcs. He had wierd things with his indicators too, iirc one of them came on with his reverse lights.

If changing speedo cluster doesn't work, try to change the cabin fuse box next. Wires for indicators and open door lamp goes throught threre...
