    Front shock absorbers.

Hi, does anybody know, would the front shock absorbers from a 2002 v6 2.5 galant, fit my galant?

My galant is the same year, 2002, but mines just the baby 2.0 classic... to be honest the car looks exactly the same as mine, its even the exact same colour.

My car makes knocks and rattles going over any unevn surface, and am almost sure its the passenger front shocker.

    Cheers

It could be a ball joint, possibly one of the suspension arms. Get that checked out as soon as possible!

I suspect the front shocks are the same between the 2.0 and 2.5. If someone has got European ASA installed, then they might be able to cross-reference the part numbers.

Shocks are the same fitment, but will probably be a little bit more firm. But that can't be a bad thing, knowing how soft 2.0l are! Saying that, the V6's are soft also..

I had the same problem, it turned out to be the ball joint. i did change my dampers after i did the lower arms,i fitted monroe reflex all round which IMO they seem to be alot firmer than std.
