Windscreen wiper problem

Hi all. I've got a bit of an issue with my wipers.

They rarely stop in the proper place, going either about 2/3 of the way, so I can't see much to the right, or going further than the edge of the windscreen.

I don't really know where to start with this (and it's a bit too ****ty outside to look now ), does anyone have an idea of what it's likely to be?

i had this with mine , the nut on the motor came loose and the wiper arms were all over the place ,one point one was wiping the bonnet , you have to undo the arms switch the motor on and turn them off , the motor should be in the correct position now put arms back on,
winner !
