    Washer Bottle Removal

The pump for my washers has packed up so bought a generic replacement (yet to see if this is viable). It looked like the easiest way to replace the pump was to remove the whole bottle as it is attached to it. I have lcoated and removed 3 bolts holding the bottle (1 in the top of engine bay and 2 accessed by removing wheel arch liner) but the bu**er won't move. Is there a 4th bolt hidden somewhere and how do I get at it?!

Also, not sure this generic pump will be able to be loated in the same way as the original. Had a made idea though: could I attached a piece of hose from the output of the old pump to input of the new one and then fix new pump in a convenient location. Would the water flow through the old pump at enough of a rate to supply new one?!

    Cheers.

    hey
3 bolts on the main tank - 1 on top of the tank, 2 on leg type things from the back,
1 on the neck in the engine bay. mine removed with this still attached as the neck separates in 2 place

Yes there are 4 bolts all together. So your missing 1 of the 1's under the bumper.

Sounds like it must be the one on the top of the tank I have missed. Did you have to remove any other components to access the bolt as I am struggling to see it, let alone get a socket/spanner on it!
