!!IMPORTANT!! Please Check Your Motor Insurance!!!!

Last night I got pulled over in the old mans Legnum and now it has been taken away and I have 6 points and a £200 fine coming my way. When I started the insurance policy for MY Legnum I specifically asked third party cover on all vehicles. This was confirmed and active.

My insurance has now been renewed. I have had NO correspondence from the insurance company and it seems it was renewed automatically without any kind of warning. This is not the issue, the issue is that they have decided to remove the third party cover from my policy!! Again they did not inform me and are only just now sending my new policy documentation out. I dont have a leg to stand on because ultimately its up to me to check my policy is current and correct, which yes I shouldve done when I swapped vehicles with my dad.

I have also spoken to a few different people and the same thing has happened with their policies!! It seems that a few insurance companies are changing policies upon renewal without informing the policy holder, due to the insurance companies varying in each case.

So please if you have any added extras to your policy such as third party cover for other vehicles or business use etc please check that it is still on there and valid, especially upon renewal as I would hate for anybody else to be in the position I am in now i.e. £350 down (at the moment) and with 6 points pending. All I went out for was petrol so I could get to work!!

Oh yeah and Pops.....This is the last time I help you out with your motor by kindly agreeing to get her through her MOT and fixing the radiator etc. So when you think about it this is actually ALL your fault!! And I think that it would only be fitting for you to cough up the fine and seizure fee

Anywho I now need to be a good boy as I sit on 9 points for the next few months til another 3 points come off

Hmm, keep it in the family lol!.
I also had to correct my insurance details as when I got the policy through, they had deleted some additions and extras to keep the cost down for me!!!, (i.e. I.C.E. cover and windows, and changed my excess)
So I would second the check your documents comment!

I requested a letter from Quinn Direct regarding third party driving and it states that i am covered to drive any motor vehicle that is not registered to me & as long as it has mot & tax, it doesnt even have to have an insurance policy on it so thats why the skyline & other cars are registered to my mrs
