    Question Clear Timing Belt Covers.

Hello all, I'm mostly on OZVR4 but though I would put this up here to generate maximum interest.

I've been in touch with a guy that can make us some clear timing belt covers, this guy has come recommended to me by Paul [TUFFTR] on OZVR4. Apparently they make good quality stuff, I know it may be rice but I'm dead keen on a set of these.

The guy said he would need two sets of the covers and 60 people interested and they would cost $200USD-$220USD. I know getting to 60 will be a stretch so I asked how much a smaller batch would cost and am yet to hear back from him.

So my question to you guys is: Who would seriously be interested in a set of these, front and back?

Spread the word so we can get as much interest as possible

For people that don't know, it would look like this:

    but in reverse

Mods, if I posted this in the wrong spot please feel free to move it.

They do look very nice but i think they will be too expensive for people un the UK,
i have been wanting some of these for a while now but cost has always been the sticking point. i have always run my car without cam belt covers.
$220 (USD) £140 plus duty plus VAT plus shipping.

    Bye for Now!

Dave's right they do look pretty awesome but it's not just cost me thinks, that is a large contribution to it

But with standard belt & cam wheels it would look pants, there is an up side though!

You could clearly see when you have a problem unless it goes bye bye before you pop the hood.

You should find out if they fit any other cars and then ask on those forums.
For example, I am sure there would be a number of FTO owners who would be interested. Visit ftoaustralia.com
coltuk.org has quite a few 6A12 powered cars so there may be interest there as well.
I myself have a car with a 6A12 and would be interested possibly, but not for a year +

Hey guys, the guy quoted me the price listed above delivered. Would you get charged tax on top of that price too?

Would have thought there would be more interest than this. You don't have to have vernier cam gears to get these, just get yours polished or painted and win at life

Bump for any more interest? Spread the word, the more interest we get the cheaper it will be.

It will take some time to organise so it will probably eventuate later in the year.

Well at this stage there is only around ten people interested so I'll send him an email but he wanted sixty so the price is definitely gonna go up. I thought these would be more popular.

Good question, I'm not sure about how they are made. Its Mitsubishi polycarbonate or something like that I think, I'll find out and get back to you.
