starter motor

right then, my starter motor has started playing funny buggers so im thinking that i need a new one, havent been able to access it yet so still not sure, im gonny go and give it a bang wi a hammer and see if it makes a difference if i can manage to get the car jacked up. i need the car so as to get to hospital if needed. so, has any1 got a spare1 lying about, wont be able to purchase it till next wednesday.

oh... can anybody confirm if the auto and manual have the same starter motor?Mine is from a manual.

got it running again thanks to the neighbours heavy duty leads but im still gonny need 1 soon in case it happens again
