7443 7440 led don't fit!

Anybody fitted led stop and tail or reverse bulbs??.
I know there are issues with resistors required for brake lights and changing flasher units to work with led also.
BUT, I have twice bought 7443 stop/tail led replacement bulbs from two different suppliers, and they do not fit in the bulb holder, they don't seem to be long enough, width is ok, but they are also too slim and do not sit in the holder. They don't even light up the fit is soo bad!.
Like I said I got them once and thought they may have sent the wrong type, but double checked and emailed another supplier, and received the same led bulb again, still no fit .
Anyone found and succesfully fitted 7440 or 7443 LED bulbs??.
Where can I get the correct ones?
